Jim Rademacher, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Valley Eye Institute, serving patients in Sidney, Piqua, and Troy, OH. His ophthalmological interests include comprehensive ophthalmology, especially advanced and refractive cataract surgery, as well as medical, laser and surgical treatment of glaucoma, including MIGS (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery).
Dr. Rademacher was raised in Cincinnati, received a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Dayton, and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. After working as a Design Engineer at GE Aircraft Engines, he returned to school and received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.
Dr. Rademacher is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Ohio Ophthalmological Society, and the American Medical Association. He has three grown children, and lives with his wife, Nancy, in Dayton. He enjoys golf and traveling.
